New Recipe @ Secret Recipe

I am but a creature of habit. Usually when I go to Secret Recipe I wil order either their Fish & Chips or Mushroom Chicken Chop with Fries (instead of spicy rice).

However, last Monday, I spotted an item on the menu that I had not noticed before. Throwing all caution to the wind, I decided to be adventurous and go for it!

Our lunch menu:

• Baked Mozarella fish with potatoes & asparagus (MINE!)

• Tom Yam Soup with noodles

• American brownie & Chocolate brownie

• Chocolate indulgance (FREE!)

• Chocolate ice cream sundae (hey, it was CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM DAY)

First of all, my pick LOOKED absolutely mouthwatering. With all that melted cheese and cute little potato squares. A large factor in my decision to order it. The meal itself was actually quite nice. The potatoes were REALLY good, not oily and nicely coated with a mild spicy crispy layer and really soft on the inside. The fish & mozarella combination was good, with the cheese accentuating the taste of the Dory (mind you, I'm not really a big fan of Dory as the meat tends to be bland) which was well seasoned. For some reason it reminded me of aeroplane food (and strangely enough, I mean that in a good way- I love aeroplane food, mostly). My only gripe is that for some reason all my aspargus were decapitated! So I have no proof that they were asparagus and not some other vegetable stem.

All in all I'm glad I tried the fish (although it was a bit on the pricy side). New things aren't so bad after all. Next!
