A new beginning

It has been ages since I last penned (read: typed) anything in this blog. In my defense I have been super-duper busy. A quick recap:

  1. Became Vice President of the Malaysian Integrated Medical Professionals Association (MIMPA)
  2. Became Chief Editor of the Malaysian Medical Gazette www.mmgazette.com
  3. So many committees & workshops in IIUM
  4. PhD preparations!

Oh yes...

I also got married last Saturday. To a wonderful guy named Azizul. Why do I say wonderful? Because he was willing to accept me for who I am & every piece of baggage that I carry with me, and of course because the kids adore him.

Initially the wedding was supposed to be a simple affair in Kuantan but then suddenly on Wednesday 4/12/13 80% of Kuantan was submerged under water. So we decided to move the nikah to Gombak. Sounds easy? It was not. In the space of 1.5 days my family managed to pull off a almost miraculous ceremony. We only got the approval from JAIS 4pm on Friday (the day before). Alhamdulillah, I am truly blessed with friends and family who rallied together to make this a reality.

We are also fortunate to have wonderful friends to help us clean up the destruction of a house flooded in knee-deep waters. Thank you so much. Honeymoon hutang ye? hehe

congratulations sis ^_^
Since I have come this far at midnight on the eve of X'mas, and seeing a rare sight of a very qualified lady with so many blogs, occupying so many important positions and having just been married, I say to myself: stop, browse and say something. So I have briefly flipped through a few pages and am now I am saying what I feel is appropriate. For a start,
congratulations on your wedding,

The rain was the cause of your change of plan from a wedding in Kuantan to Gombak. It was that rain that made me drive around one whole day from KL heading for KT but was back in Damansara Heights after driving for ten hours in the rain. That made me sit back to write as a blog entry, " Have you ever seen the rain". I love that old song and I loved playing in the Monsoon rain almost three quarters of a century ago.

I take it you are a member of the medical campus of IIUM in Kuantan. I know of that campus because it is a ell-known campus which is not very far from my home tn K Terengganu. I make it a point to know a bit of everything because I am a man of leisure, own no position in life and am abssolutely unemployed and ,above all, have never had a PhD at the end of my name. Nor have I been honoured with a Datukship except those I have been blessed with by HIM by way of ten wonderful kids.

Once again, please accept my humble congratulations on your marriage , qualifications and positions in life. My motto is " Berkhidmat kerana Tuhan untuk kemanusiaan." Salaam to youn and family.
